Corner Inlet gets a State Bronze

9 Aug 2016 by Kate Wenig

From our humble little club at Corner Inlet, there was some success at the Little Athletics State Championships in March, with our youngest entrant, Willem Duursma, managing to overcome first time nerves come third in the 800m(shown here with his bronze at Casey Fields in Cranbourne). Ada Hill achieved a personal best in her 1500m event. Thomas Wenig ran well through the heats to make it through to the 70m final, where he came 8th, also with his personal best.

Corner Inlet, as a club also achieved its own accolades, winning the award for biggest percentage of Membership Growth in the State last season, at the recent LAVic Annual Award Dinner. Hopefully this can continue to grow, as the more, the merrier! (more friends to be made, and more competition for our little Athletes)
